Occiglot is an open research collective (DFKI and partners) building language models for European languages. This 7B instruct model continues Mistral-7B pre-training on English, German, French, Spanish and Italian plus code, then instruction-tunes on ~400M tokens; released 2024, 8k context. Compute came from hessian.AI's 42 supercomputer. Per the model card it is not safety-aligned.
